In rASiA.com Asia and Europe bring closer

Greig Watts, Producer, publisher and owner in DWB Music, speaks about the Asian market and its influence in Europe.

This year, I intend to speak on how I see the Asian market starting to come out of Asia, and how I believe this can start to influence the West. We have been working in Asia for many years and now a lot of western writers are starting to follow the trend. We are looking at moving this to the next stage and starting to look at how Western and Asian artists can work together.
I would really love to bring one of our western artists to Moscow to collaborate with another from Asia.

I believe, we have innovated already by starting in Asia many years ago and now others are starting to follow. So we are looking at how we can move this on and how we can continue to lead and innovate. Bring western artists together with Asian artists is one thing, but also we are looking at how we can bring Asian music to the Western culture and how it can influence it.

Personally I do feel an influence in what we do as we are embraced in working on Asian music so we listen to it a lot. I don’t think Europe is that influenced yet though by Asia‘s music, but i can see it starting and think certain acts from Asia will definately cross over in coming years.
I certainly believe that Korea‘s artists are actively planning to come out of Korea and this i think is very possible as their artists are leading the Asian market and can also be a big influence on the West.

The previous two rAsia.com‘s have been not only enjoyable, but i have learnt so much from the other speakers and also about Russian culture and how that can be a gateway from West to East. I believe that rAsia.com will continue to grow and i want to be a part of something that I feel is leading a trend.
