Innovation and the Government: understanding the mutual influence

2–4 of June 2014, Moscow hosted the "International Summit of technology parks and business incubators." For three days, Russian and international experts were discussing the development directions of technology parks as drivers of the national economy growth with the support of the government. Innovation Forum RASIA.com touches this topic too.

In the International Summit of technology parks and business incubators participants visited the session "Arrangements for the establishment and implementation of innovations in industrial corporations" in which the first deputy minister of industry and trade Gleb Nikitin spoke. According to Mr. Nikitin, innovations play an important role in national economic development. In this regard, the state is ready to release a new law on industrial policy, the Ministry of Industry said, which will be the basis for the support and development of innovation capacity.

The special session will be organized at RASIA.com. Experts from Russia, Japan, Indonesia, France and other countries within the section will discuss how implementing a state policy important for innovations. Feature of the Forum and of this discussion is to focus on a comparison of Asian and Russian policies. Certainly, the development of innovative trend in all countries is impossible without the support of the government and the international community. Experts will share their experience in the development field for innovative business and government in their respective countries, as well as discuss the importance of cooperation between Russia and advanced Asian countries in this regard.

Government support for industrial parks will be discussed also at the "Forum of industrial parks," which will be held at RASIA with the support of the Ministry of Communications and NRU ‘Higher school of economics‘. Representatives will share experience of technology parks in Russia, Europe, USA and Asia.

There will also be Russian Innovation Pavilion — exhibition space, which will feature the latest technological development, innovation and promising start-up projects in tech & media. Successful start-up projects will share their experiences, including experiences of work with the government.
