Christian Ulf-Hansen first attained an international career at The Performing Right Society (PRS) and became the Membership Representative. During his time at the PRS, he got to know every major songwriter, publisher, manager, producer and A&R person while at the same time, gaining a reputation for discovering and nurturing new talent and helping them go forward in their careers. In 1992, Christian was headhunted by BMI to take on a role for 8 years. During his stay at BMI, he helped break Gabrielle and most of the biggest new songwriters of the 90’s. He also brokered many deals in records and publishing and found songs for some of the biggest records of the decade. In 2002, Christian ventured on his own into management with his initial client Teitur and several other writers. He signed Teitur to a major worldwide record deal with Universal Records in the US, negotiated with Doug Morris, who was at that time the biggest music executive in the world. At the same time, he developed and got deals for writer/artist Jamie Hartman (Ben’s Brother/Will Young/Jason Mraz) and US based writer Marc Nelkin (Kesha), whilst also helping Corinne Bailey Rae’s career and getting 3 songs on her 4 million selling debut album. Christian also expanded his A&R role in his artists albums, and other artists’ too, gaining a reputation for making classic albums, which have scored well in the lucrative Film and TV sync world, and recouping their investment many times over, being driven by Christian’s view of a worldwide market, and International contacts. Christian recently expanded his field of operation, which includes starting and co-owning a Film and Television production company with a well-known actor/producer, which is currently co-producing a kids animated TV series and developing a slate of films.
