Indonesia and Russia. Development of relations in 2012 and plans for 2013

Moscow, Swissotel Krasnye Kholmy, 18 October, - Discussion "Results of develpoment of friendly ties and strategic partnership between Indonesia and Russia in 2012 and prospects for 2013". The meeting was organized by the Embassy of Republic of Indonesia in Moscow. rASiA.com was among the guests who took active part in development of bilateral relations in 2012. His Highness Djauhari Oratmangun, Indonesian Ambassador to the Russian Federation, highly appreciated contribution of rASiA.com to progress of cultural relations between Indonesia and Russia. 

History of friend and business relations between Indonesia and Russia extend back over 60 years. The leaders of both countries highly emphasized the point of great potential for collaboration which could be realized with the support of governments of both countries, business and academic society, journalists and public figures. 

His Highness Ambassador Oratmangun highly appreciated the role of economic, trade, social and cultural, educative and touristic relations between our countries and presented growing numbers, which defined the relations. For example, 100 000 - number of Russian tourists who will visit Indonesia to the end of 2012. 

His Highness Ambassador Oratmangun underlined that there will be new page of Indonesian-Russian relationships in 2013. "There is a great potential in developing of relations between Indonesia and Russia, but its strengthening is what we make", - summarized his speech His Highness Ambassador Oratmangun. 

Andrey Tatarinov, Director of the 3rd Department of Asia of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told about prospects of bilateral relations in the field of politics, security, economics, commerce, investments, tourism, education, and in social and cultural sphere. 

Igor Syrtsov, Senior vice-president of CJSC "Sukhoi Civil Aircraft" told about sucsessful collaboration with Indonesia, plans for the future and prospects of supplies of new superjets for Indonesian flight connections. 

Alexander Ivanov, Russian Ambassador to Republic of Indonesia and Ambassador of Russian Federation to ASEAN, told that Russia is a full participant of dialogue between countries of South-East Asia with their partners even though Russia is not a member of ASEAN. Mr.Ivanov expressed his hope that an agreement for strategic partnership between our countries will be signed during the summit of ASEAN. 

Ngurah Swajaya, Indonesian Ambassador to ASEAN, told about priority projects of ASEAN. After his speech the participants shared their views for relations between Indonesia and Russia. 

Mikhail Kouritsyn, member of supervisory board of rASiA.com and Chairman of Russian-Indonesian Business Counsil, told about business relations between the countries, after that the results of discussion was summarized and the participants wished each other to strengthen the relations between Indonesia and Russia in 2013. 

His Highness Ambassador Oratmangun highly underlined significancy of cultural relarions and the role of rASiA.com in 2012. The floor was given to Alexander Shulgin, Founder of rASiA.com. Mr.Shulgin told that culture is the main component of dialogue between countries, and the language of culture is universal. That's why the easiest way to strengthen of diplomatic relations is to speak cultural language. 

rASiA.com and the Embassy of Republic of Indonesia in Russiacame to agreement for stronger collaboration in 2013. And where will be a range of cultural events between Indonesia and Russia in 2013.
